Make room for relationships
Connection often begins with a small gesture. Introduce yourself to someone you have not met, ask how their week has been or take a little time to listen. Those simple conversations can become the foundations of lasting friendship.
Belonging is not about being identical. A healthy community welcomes different backgrounds, experiences and stages of life. We grow when we learn to make space for each other with patience and kindness.
Encouragement makes a difference
A thoughtful message, a genuine conversation or an offer to help can mean more than we realise. Look for the people around you who may need encouragement, and choose one small action you can take this week.
- Check in with someone you have not seen recently.
- Celebrate another person’s progress and gifts.
- Offer practical help when it is appropriate and welcome.
- Pray for the needs of your church family and local community.
Serve with what you have
You do not need to do everything to make a difference. Start with the time, skills and willingness you already have. Serving is an opportunity to contribute, learn and work alongside others.
